Three years ago I made the best decision of my life when I bought this business. The previous owner had it for 18 years and was retiring. There was another owner prior to him for 12 years. I have to be honest with all of you – I had zero experience with custom closet design and Murphy beds. My prior career had been in corporate America in advertising sales. I won’t bore you with how this all happened but it was a series of referrals and recommendations that led me to More Space Place. I have lived in the area for 30 years and raised both of my children here. What I had never experienced in my professional life is the direct impact a local business can have on our customers’ lives. When we create a custom closet and a woman walks into for the first time, she is so happy it’s palpable. We made it just for her, for her things, in her colors, with spaces for her shoes and her bags. One customer said “I love my closet so much I want to live in it”. Our Murphy beds are so reliable that we get calls from people who have had them over 20 years and need a minor repair such as a spring replaced. I had the same idea most had about Murphy beds/wall beds. I thought of the old stodgy ones in films that would close on people. Modern day Murphy beds are incredible space saving pieces of furniture and the options are endless. They are a REAL BED with a frame and a regular mattress and just as comfortable. I cannot tell you how fun making all of this custom furniture for people is. We are making things for every area of a house whether it be a laundry room, living room entertainment center, a showcase display for your treasure, or whatever your heart desires. We love what we are doing and we love making our customers happy. I feel so blessed and grateful every day to have found this business.
